Who is Deacon John Pate?

Deacon John Pate currently serves at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, in Rogers, Arkansas.  He received a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Vanderbilt University and a Bachelor of Science degree from Lipscomb University, both in Nashville, Tennessee.  He spent ten years serving as a volunteer prison ministry chaplain.

 

Before his diaconate ordination in 2002 in the Catholic Diocese of Little Rock, Arkansas, he received training from Stephen Ministry.  He also trained in the areas of servant leadership and hospital ministry.


Deacon Pate’s service in the Church and the community spans three decades:

  • Past Chairman, Arkansas Governor's Prayer Breakfast (The Honorable Bill Clinton, Governor)

  • Participant in five medical and dental missions to Tegucigalpa, Honduras
