so you can edit them and make them your own!

How to Download the Homily

Step One: Create New Folder to Store Purchased Homilies

    1. Go to your "My Documents" folder; and, putting your cursor in the middle of the list of documents, right click and go to "new" and then "folder."

    2.  In the blank space, type “HomilyStarters.”You now have a folder for your HomilyStarters^©.

Step Two: Process Your Order

    1.  Go to the HomilyStarters^©Sunday Gospel homilies page or the Special Homilies page. Choose the homily you need.

2. To download, click on the highlighted Scripture. You will be taken to our "Quick Shopping Cart," where you can preview the homily content and then click “Add to Cart."

3. Choose “Continue Shopping” to order more HomilyStarters^©

4. When you have finished shopping, choose “Checkout.” Enter your billing information and choose “Continue.” You will then be taken to a secure Paypal form, where you can log in, enter your credit card information, and pay. (You do not need to have a Paypal account to use Paypal.)

5. After you have paid, you will receive an email with download instructions.

Step Three: Enjoy Using the Homily!

    1. Click on the homily you have purchased (it will open up your word processing program and the homily).

   2. On the word processing drop-down file menu (top left), click on "Save As."

    3. Click on the file you have made to keep homilies: Homilystarters. The Scripture reference for your homily should be in the box. Hit "Save." Now your homily is ready for your editing, or using "as is."

Enhancements

    HomilyStarters^© are double spaced for ease of use.  Also, to make the points clear and defined, we use what we call "enhancements." The primary enhancements used are these:

Font size - 14, 16, 20
Underlining - word only
Small caps feature
Bold
Italics
Beginning and end quotation marks
Ellipses
Parentheses
Phrases such as pause, or slowly. Like dynamics marking in music, these help you make your delivery effective, and can be especially helpful when you are "practicing" your homily.

You can use your word processing program to change or delete these marks, or to change or eliminate paragraphs or other references altogether.
